I lost 3 pounds this week, and I am saying goodbye forever to the 220's!! I have exercised everyday for the last 2 weeks, and I feel great. Staying OP has been no problem this week, even with TOM. So....YAY ME!
Aug. 19th, 2006 10:34 pm I did it.
Well, my 7 day challenge has been accomplished! I challenged myself to exercise everyday this week, and I did it. I walked about 2 miles each day, give or take, and sweated my ass off (not literally, unfortunately). I'm going to have a crap weigh in on monday, but its the old TOM again, so no losses this week. But I'm not letting it get me down. I have exercised for 7 days straight, now I only have the rest of my life to go. hee hee heeLeave a comment
Seriously, now my challenge to myself is to do it everyday for a month. Whew! Rain or shine, I'm going to do it. (We got rained on this afternoon even, and we kept on walking.) SO...YAY ME! I am proud of myself, and I an setting a good example for my son. WOOT!
Aug. 16th, 2006 01:28 pm My day...
We got up before dawn even thought of having a butt crack. (5:45...not that bad really). Got Gabe READY FOR SCHOOL!! And he finished his breakfast just in time to catch the bus. Yes....I cried. There I said it. My little guy went off into the big bad world for 3 hours without me. And he even came back! Leave a comment
Thats him getting off the bus...duh!
While he was gone, rather than doing the house work like I should have, John and I went to the park for my daily exercise (torture). We walked for an hour and I even RAN to the top of the observation tower again. This time I didn't get the jelly legs so bad.
And now that Gabe is down for his well deserved nap, I have to do the house work I ignored this morning. Blah. Then we get to do it all over again tomorrow. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!

Aug. 8th, 2006 06:13 pm Zoo ramblings
We went to the Indy Zoo today for Gabe's birthday. He had a blast. We walked for like 6 hours, and saw everything. Gabe even saw his first real elphant. He was enthralled by them, as you can tell by the picture.Leave a comment
We also saw a dolphin show. Gabe loved that also, and sat in his seat like a little man to watch.
Now here's my good news for the day. All that walking at the zoo.....I earned 20(!!!) activity points. (Ask you weight watcher's friends, they'll explain it to ya) Which means, I can pretty much eat anything I want to at the chinese buffet tonight. HUZZAH!

Soooo.....at 5:30pm tonight, John informs me we are having company at around 10. On today of all days, I had been slack with the dishes and shit...blah blah blah. Not a huge emergency, but stress inducing none the less. I got them washed, then we (Gabe and I) walked to Kroger. WOOP! Arrived home at 8:15, had to listen to the tale of John's soft ball game tonight (they lost). So I have just cleaned my house in record time, and put the groceries away, and stashed Gabe in bed.2 comments - Leave a comment
I needed it trust me...you'll see.....The thing is...I don't really drink anymore...ummm....whoooeeeeeee! I had a big old shot of VODKA, AND IT WAS GOOOOOOOOD! Just to settle my nerves, you know. Haha. But thats it for me....no more tonight...haha.
Company should be here soon, and I feel fine...heh heh heh. And I maaaay have some more vodka. Pray for my aching head in the morning.

Jul. 31st, 2006 11:04 am Hi there!
So for the ummmm....2 people that care....I have been working away at the weight watchers thing. I am finally noticing a difference in my clothes, though no drop in size yet. But at least they are fitting better now. And as of this morning, I have lost 17 pounds. So, yay me!2 comments - Leave a comment
We are preparing for the impending NY family visit, which begins on the 6th. huzzah
We are also preparing for the sadly joyous first day of school for Gabe on the 16th. Get your tissues ready folks. He'll be romping off to preschool with his spiderman backpack full of diapers, wipes and a binky. Then I will be relaunching my life on ebay. Oh joy!
And John is crapping his pants about our money situation. Whats new?

I am in love. Our new place is fabulous.
We have a front yard, a back yard, and every neighbor has young kids that all get together and play outside. Its fun to watch and even more fun when Gabe gets to join in. He spent an hour running wild around our yard(s) getting sweaty and apple cheeked like all little boys should. He even has a playmate next door thats the same age as him (named Zeke). We pulled out our lawn chairs and sat on the porch as the kids played, and played, and played. Even though I needed to be in Seymour cleaning out the last of our stuff from that shit hole. When I saw all those kids, I had to prioritize. See...to me, it was far more important for Gabe to socialize than be cooped up in an empty apartment while I clean. **Please note that this is the first time we have ever had a yard for him to play in...AND the first time he's been really social with a bunch of kids. I was practically in tears as I sat there watching him. (I'm an old softie. What can I say?)
At night, there is silence. INstead of thumping bass and basket balls being thrown at my door. No traffic niose, no shift change at the plant across the street, no plant across the street at all. Just blissful silence. Sleep as deep as an abyss. I am having some bad dreams about the neighbors we are leaving behind, but I am hopeful that when we are done with seymour tomorrow I will be done having bad dreams.
John is close enough to come home from work for lunch or dinner. Its nice for him becuase people used to never leave him alone when he ate at work. So now its truly a "break". ANd nice for us too, since we get to see him more now. I am struggling with a tiny kitchen, but I will persevere. I have already made 2 loaves of bread, so how bad can it be?
Thats all I have for now. Holla!
